How eco-friendly is your upholstery?
Producing sustainably is becoming more and more important. That’s why Love Home Fabrics created the Act for Home Textiles program. Everything we do as a group for the environment is included in this program.
For Ter Molst this means minimizing our energy levels, using water purification stations, eliminating harmful substances and involving our employees every step of the way. Furthermore, we prove our commitment to the environment by providing an eco-passport for every collection. The passport shows the sustainable raw materials that our fabrics are made from in the form of eco-scores. A score of 100%, as is the case with every fabric in our Vivalife collection, means the fabric is 100% sustainable.
Ecological materials we use to different degrees
Harmolan PP
Harmolan PP is an upcycled yarn fully produced in-house, at our own plant, without the use of water and with minimum use of energy. It can be recycled up to ten times and is the most durable man-made fiber available.
BCI Cotton
BCI, or the Better Cotton Initiative, is the standard for sustainable farming practices in the cotton sector. This benefits the environment, the quality and durability of cotton and the communities of cotton farmers.
GRS Polyester
GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified polyester, is made from post-consumer recycled bottles.
Lenzing EcoVero
Lenzing EcoVero is the new standard in eco-responsible viscose production with a much lower environmental impact, leaving air and water cleaner.
Linen
Linen is a strong and natural fiber made from the flax plant. Flax is a renewable source, one that is fast growing, requires no chemicals and has a minimal impact on the planet. Linen grows more beautiful as it grows older.
Wool
Wool is a natural and renewable yarn, locally sourced and harmless to the environment. Because the yarn is left unpainted, it is completely biodegradable.
Ter Molst uses these materials to better the environment and to give the world a more responsibly produced product. The eco-passports can be found on every product page.
